In the real estate sector, he has played a key role in establishing a real estate development company in India and a mortgage bank in Poland.

Prior to Tata Capital, Ashish has worked as the Head, Private Equity of the Centrum Group and before that was MD, India of Cambridge Place Investment Management LLC, a UK based investment management firm. He has also held senior leadership positions in investment management firms such as Ankar Capital and Antfactory as well as Arthur Andersen's corporate finance practice.

Ashish is an MBA from Duke University, USA and holds a Masters in Commerce degree from Mumbai University.

Ashish started his post MBA career as Director-Marketing at the Polish American Mortgage Bank in Poland where he was part of the founding team that successfully established the first mortgage bank in Eastern Europe.
